Paper Submission

Conference Topics
We are interested in hearing any of a wide range of topics on the teaching of mathematics and statistics at university level. In the past, for example, we have had papers on technology (computers, graphics calculators, CAS), bridging courses, large first year classes, modeling, teacher training , and the teaching of specific topics (e.g. analysis, algebra).


Presentations
Paper  submissions for Calafate Delta'07 are now  being accepted . We also welcome the submission of abstract-only presentations .

If you would like to submit an abstract for a presentation at Delta'07, please email it to Víctor Martínez.


Workshops
Workshops of 1-2 hours duration are intended to enhance the skills and broaden the perspective of their attendees. They should be designed for learning a new area or to provide advanced training in an area. Proposals for workshops should be sent by email to Víctor Martínez.

Please note that computer laboratory facilities will not be available at the conference.


Conference Proceedings
There will be two conference publications:

• A special issue of the International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology (iJMEST)

Delta '07 peer-reviewed best papers received by May 6 will be published in the International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology (iJMEST).

This first round of submissions has now closed.

• DELTA’07 Proceedings book

This will include peer-reviewed reports of teaching experiments/experiences and research papers, and the abstracts of all conference presentations.

Participants may choose to only send an abstract.

Paper guidelines

For IJMEST special issue:

Authors wishing to submit their papers to the iJMEST DELTA '07 special issue should be asked to submit their papers via this site, the URL http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tmes.

They should state on submission that their paper is for the Delta '07 special issue, an extra field asking the author whether their paper is for a special issue is being added to the site at the moment.

Full instructions for authors, including notes on style and LaTeX and Word style files can be found on the Journal's website at http://www.informaworld.com/IJMEST, there are also links to the instructions for authors on the Manuscript Central site.

For DELTA’07Proceedings book:

Full papers should not be more than 8 pages long. To ensure consistency between the iJMEST and book publications, we request that you follow the guidelines and templates provided at the journal's "Instructions for Authors" web page (http://www.informaworld.com/IJMEST). Papers should be prepared in either Microsoft Word or LaTeX.

However, do not follow the instructions for submission given on the iJMEST web site and in the style guide. Instead submissions will be made via the Delta'07  Submissions form which will be available on this website soon.

Important Notes

• An accepted paper cannot be included in the proceedings or the programme without at least one author registering for the conference.
• All accepted papers will be considered for the outstanding paper award, which will be presented at the conference.
• The official language of the conference is English.
